Human rights and social justice
In the winter semester 2020/2021 we are pleased to offer a lecture series in the field of human rights and social justice.

The COVID-19 pandemic is exacerbating social inequality and shows how important social solidarity is: How can the protection and respect of human rights contribute to this? Are human rights and social justice mutually dependent? Or does strengthening human rights lead to a neglect of solidarity and justice? We want to explore these questions in our lecture series in the winter semester, both on a fundamental level and using specific examples and contexts. Academics and civil society actors from Germany and abroad will report on their findings and experiences and discuss their assessments. The lectures and discussions will be held partly in German and partly in English.
