In Europe, governments and the European Union are passing laws to make companies responsible for the impact of their business activities at distant production sites. But to what extent do new obligations contribute to justice and sustainability?
This #NUElecture presents legal developments at EU level and new findings on the implementation of corporate due diligence obligations in Germany and France. To explore the impact of supply chain laws in producer countries, I have conducted extensive research in Brazil and will discuss recent progress and challenges.
