Dissertation topic: Urban inequality in constitutional law

Katharina König studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg with a focus on international law and at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, with a focus on European law. From 2017-2019, she was a student assistant in the research group “Transnational Solidarity Conflicts” at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg.
Katharina König is pursuing her doctorate in the field of comparative law research on urban exclusion and segregation processes. Her research focuses on fundamental property rights and fundamental social rights. The doctoral project is funded by the German National Academic Foundation and the Marianne Plehn Program (Elite Network of Bavaria) and was awarded the Faculty’s Women’s Prize 2022.
