My Hanh studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in München und an der University of Helsinki in Finnland. Sie war promotionsbegleitend von Oktober 2021 bis Mai 2024 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl für Öffentliches Recht, Völkerrecht und Menschenrechte bei Prof. Dr. Dr. Patricia Wiater tätig. Im Rahmen eines Forschungsaufenthalts in Neuseeland forschte sie auch bei Prof. Dr. Klaus Bosselmann am New Zealand Centre for Environmental Law (NZCEL) an der University of Auckland.
